Visa AdviceWe offer FREE help with your visa application! Do you need a visa?If you come from a European Union country, or from Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland, you do not need a visa to enter and live in Britain, so you do not need to read the rest of this page! Visitors and students from non-EU countries may need to get a visa in advance before they come to Britain. If you are not sure whether your country is a "visa country" or a "non-visa country" you can find out from http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/. If you are coming from a "visa country", you must apply for a visa from the nearest British embassy or consulate. Ask for a visa that will cover the entire period of your stay in Britain. If you apply for an extension of your visa after you have come to Britain, you will have to pay a fee for the application (at present GBP295). Make sure that you get a visa or Entry Certificate for the entire length of your course (including a holiday at the end if you intend to take one). It is expensive to apply for an extension. Applying for a visaIf you need a visa to visit Britain, apply as soon as possible. The website http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk gives information about visas and how to apply. Please tell the School when you get your visa, or if your visa is refused. Visa Officers at British Consulates and Embassies know that some people who apply to visit Britain as students do not genuinely intend to do a course and to return to their own country at the end of the course. Some people enter Britain as "students", and then do not follow a course; or perhaps they follow a short course, but then take a job in Britain instead of returning to their country at the end of their course. It is important that in your visa application and interview (if you have one) you give truthful and complete answers to all the questions. Visa officers are reasonable people, but they have a duty to refuse visas if they do not believe that the applicants genuinely intend to do a course and return home at the end of it. Be ready to produce papers to support the answers that you give. If your application is refused, they will give you a written explanation of the reasons for refusal. It will be helpful if you send a copy of this to the School. We can help with your visa application, visa extension and university offers (conditional offers and unconditional offers)...contact us NOW for more details! Our help is FREEIf you have an interview with the British Embassy, you may be asked questions like these:Which course do you intend to take in Britain? Give the name of the School, the name of the course, the length of the course, the certificate or qualification that you want to get. Show your Acceptance Letter, if you have one. Why do you need to take an English course in Britain? If it is necessary for your work, explain what your work is. If it will help you to get a job in the future, explain what sort of job you are thinking of. A letter from an employer will be helpful. What studies have you done already in your country? Give details of your education. If you have had English lessons, show a document to prove this. If you have already studied the language, it will show that you are really interested in learning it, and this may help your application. How will you pay for the course? You should know what the cost will be of your course, and of your room and meals in Britain. You should have bank statements or other documents to show that you have sufficient money to pay these costs, or that a family member or business organisation is providing finance or hospitality. What will you do at the end of your course? If you will continue your studies in your own country, show a letter from the college or university where you will be studying. If you will be returning to a job in your country, bring a letter from your employer certifying that.
